Hot Fun In The Annual Oktoberfest Sun
One of the longest running customer appreciation days happens in North Vancouver, Washington every September. Vancouver Oil has treated their clients to an Oktoberfest Celebration that includes plenty of bratwurst and beer, right in their company parking lot… a perfect location near the I-5 Freeway that provides plenty of parking and allows the music to be turned up a little.
This event has been running 15 years now and PRO DJs has had the opportunity to be a part of it for the last four years. We replaced an Oom-pah band in 2009 and while I still spin an Oktoberfest song or two, attendees love the variety of music that includes classic Rock and Country favorites.
Previous events have included lots of prizes and a frozen t-shirt contest where (mostly men) race to break up a block of ice with a t-shirt inside, then after retrieving it, put the shirt on 🙂 Yes, that’s cold! That event will return in the future, but this year, they opted for a Classic Car Display with the winner taking home $500 in fuel.
It was a hot one with the temperature at 90 plus degrees, but everyone enjoyed the company and good fun. Thanks again for choosing PRO DJs. We look forward to next year.

8 Hours Non-Stop Music At Vendor Tradeshow
PRO DJs provided music and announcements at the WCP Solutions Digital and Printing Paper Roundup held at their warehouse on Airport Way in Portland, Oregon on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.
I started the music at 11am and ended at 7pm, playing a variety of hit music from all genres, including some Country music to fit their Western BBQ Theme… the ribs were fantastic. The day ended with some nice prize giveaways, including two Google Nexus 7 Tablets.

Employees Night Out At Annual Company Party
PRO DJs is thankful for our longtime clients. Some have brought us out year after year so many times, we have lost count 🙂
That is certainly the case for a Portland trucking company. Their normal January event was moved to February this year… same result though. We had a great time Saturday night at our usual stomping grounds… the Jantzen Beach Red Lion Hotel on the River in Portland, Oregon.
The itinerary is generally the same at each event. Employees gather for drinks and dinner before hitting the gaming tables for a chance to win big prizes. The casino is big hit that provides some competition for me, but eventually I am able to peel some people away to rock the dancefloor.
Thanks again Angie for the opportunity. See you next year! -Rich
December 2011 Corporate Party Review
‘Tis the season for corporate holiday parties. December company functions kept us busy the first three weeks of the month. The photos featured in this video were taken by Luminate Photography and PRO DJs at the following events: Lport (12/3/11 at the Hilton in downtown Vancouver, Washington), Cafe Yumm (12/3/11 at their downtown location in Portland, Oregon), D.Electronics (12/16/11 at the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon) and S.Supply (12/17/11 at the Jantzen Beach Red Lion Hotel in Portland, Oregon).
Happy New Year From Central Oregon
I didn’t think the party last New Year’s Eve in Silcox Hut above Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood could be topped, but we came pretty close.
This time my client reserved a large vacation home in Prineville, Oregon and with an intimate gathering of about 30 people, guests were treated to some amazing food, prizes and entertainment. Of course, I had a great time, but it was made better with my wife being able to join me this weekend to celebrate the New Year.
For the final evening of 2011, everyone was pumped up and we got off to a hot start on the dance floor. I spun a mix of classic dance tracks with a heavy dose of current music, that included the top two songs in the Billboard year-end countdown: Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and LMFAO’s ‘Party Rock Anthem’.
As the clock ticked down to 2012, I led a countdown. At midnight, most everyone found someone to kiss while ‘Auld Lang Syne’ played in the background. This new year feels like a change is in the air after a mixed 2011, so playing Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ felt like a good choice as the first song of 2012.
On New Year’s Day, everyone (my wife and I included) went snowmobiling near Mt. Bachelor. After a great dinner, we made our way back to the dancefloor for a karaoke party. Guests had a fun time singing or being entertained.
Thanks again Lisa and Rick for the opportunity and a great time. Happy New Year!
