Sarah’s Bat Mitzvah
Fun, fantastic and most of all, good old fashioned partying. The girls showed up, the guys showed up and so did the parents. The kids wanted to get started during the cocktail music, but showed some amazing restraint and waited until after dinner to really let loose.
Pictures were done by Ronald Appelbaum… the kids knew him from previous events, so it was automatic. The party evolved into laughing, fun games and love sparks going off with kids (ha ha ha).
The limbo was crazy and we could not pick one person as a winner, so we chose the best guy and best girl. The judges also had a problem with the swing dance because there were so many good couples and they were not able to narrow it down to one winner… so many good dancers out there.
Sarah was happy and tired because she danced so much. However, she wanted to go out with a bang… instead of the normal slow dance, we ended with a fast song. The kids then got together for a huge group hug!

Debbie’s 50th Birthday Party
It was an fun setting for Debbie’s Birthday Party held at Oregon Food Bank West in Beaverton Saturday night.
About 100 good friends and family showed up to celebrate this milestone with the birthday girl and her husband. With plenty of drinks and appetizers to start, guests engaged in conversation to a background music set that included Cher, Michael Jackson, Motown favorites and more.
Shortly before opening the dance floor, Debbie let me know she was really enjoying the music and said she wanted to do this every weekend 🙂 She enjoyed visiting with her friends and family, but was also excited to do a little dancing.
Debbie is a big fan of Cher and at her request, I got the party started with one of her favorite Cher songs, ‘Believe’. Everyone danced the night away to a variety of hit songs that featured a mix of Oldies, Tina Turner, and of course, more Cher.
Happy Birthday Debbie and thank you for inviting me back to play for your friends and family. I had a blast! -Steve

Sol’s Bar Mitzvah
What can u say about Sol? Well, he loves sports. He loves to be happy and enjoys competition. And that’s exactly what we had at his Bar Mitzvah party on April 30th at Tualatin Country Club.
There was lots of dancing with family and friends, pictures to capture the moment with ‘Paparazzi’ and competitive with the ‘Wii Crew’ and video games. This combination was explosive and the dance floor electrifying, as friends and family enjoyed music, games and prizes. The food at the club was fantastic and the ‘Sugar Bar’ for the children was out of this world.

Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah
Jacob’s party was fantastic! Before the dance floor took off, I enjoyed watching his band play. The boys reminded me how much fun my job is and there was some great energy to get us started.
The Urban Studio in Northwest Portland is a hip venue that features built-in club lights in the ceiling. Combined with my lights, it was cool spectacle and the guests danced the night away.
I left that party tired, but extremely happy knowing the night was a success with the kids, Jacob’s parents and the man himself. Mazel Tov and thank you Michelle for choosing PRO DJs. -Steve

Ben’s Bar Mitzvah
Ben’s party was a long time coming. Wasn’t it just yesterday I saw him at his sister Sophie’s Bat Mitzvah? That was December 2008 at the same location, the Tualatin Country Club in Tualatin.
The entire place was decorated like a posh nightclub. There were cameras everywhere, with one person taking still pictures, another person roving the dance floor with a video camera and another video camera mounted on top of the dance floor so the kids could see everything up on the big screen and other monitors set-up around the venue.
It was an amazing event and fun for everyone. Ben was tired out at the end so I know he had a great time. Mazel Tov and thank you Felicia and Jeff for again choosing PRO DJs. -Steve
