Crazy Dancers Rule Portland Bat Mitzvah Party
Welcome back people. Another exciting adventure with a 12:30pm start on Saturday, November 12, 2011 for Maya’s Bat Mitzvah bash at the World Forestry Center’s Cheatham Hall. The kids were excited and I spun the dance music right out of the gate, all while throwing out socks and handing out fun hats and glasses. Maya wanted all fun, all the time with high energy.
Lunch started at 1:00 with Gina’s serving the food. While guests ate, the kids got their picture taken with Photobooth Papparazzi Tonight. Maya’s mom Robyn then addressed everyone with a nice thank you for attending.
As usual, the kids were done eating quickly and I went right to work with them dancing and getting started with the first game, Coke and Pepsi. The kids were laughing so hard because the other line kept running to there partners… it was very funny. A little more dancing followed before starting the slide show. All the kids sat on the floor while they watched the slide show and then dessert was served
I then picked things up again with ‘The Hora.’ The entire family went up (Maya’s mom, dad, and sister). After the chair raising, the floor was packed with parents and kids. For the second game, I went with the popular scavenger hunt, with one of Maya’s friends winning this game. Next, we did the Most Crazy Dancer game… lol, can u say weird, ugly, not right dancing… it was so funny… I felt like I was going to fall over crying.
The party went really well and guests appeared to have a fun time dancing. We ended the party with The Black Eyed Peas ‘The Time (The Dirty Bit)’ and went out with a bang, just the way Maya wanted it… she was so happy and told me her party reminded her of the East Coast Bar/Bat Mitzvah parties she has attended. Till the next time kids, see u on the dance floor. -Steve

“Steve was awesome! He was fun, friendly, easy-going and had a great rapport with the kids. He kept the party going and kept the kids engaged and having fun the whole afternoon. Everyone told us he was the best DJ. Adults and kids alike. And he was completely focused on making sure Maya had the best party ever – which she did. Thanks, Steve – you rock!” -Robyn Barbon

Owen’s Bar Mitzvah Party Was Jumpin’!
Welcome back people! I had already told the family I had been looking forward to this for a long time and it finally got here. The week before, Owen and me talked and had the night planned out. As the party got under way, everything went smooth with the formalities. When the dancing began, it was like watching a cork flying off a champagne bottle 🙂 Both adults and children were on the floor immediately… ready to move and have fun.
We started with ‘The Hora.’ I then launched a swing dance contest and we had two winners! NO WAY that happens, but it did… man, they could really swing. Owen was pushing for a slow song so I put on Beyonce’s ‘Halo’ and the floor was packed. The guys could not wait to dance with the girls. I normally have to say a lot to get them to move, but not on this night.
After awhile, Owen told me that he thought enough ‘adult music’ had been played, so we switched gears and hit the current music. Then came the limbo and I thought the girls were going to win, but nooo, the guys pulled it off and I awarded a great prize (Starbucks Gift Card and T-shirt).
The party was coming to a close and Owen was really itching for another slow dance, so I said “Snowball” and we both smiled. He danced with his sister in the beginning. I then invited everyone else to join in… adults and kids for the Snowball dance.
It was a wonderful night. I was tired when it ended, but had a great time… lol… see you all at the next party! Mazel Tov Owen and thank you Annette for choosing PRO DJs. -Steve
“Steve was perfect! He kept the dance floor full and his choices of music were just right for the crowd. THANK YOU THANK YOU!” -Annette Demsey

Alex’s Massive Mitzvah Party at Rose Garden Arena
Party Party Party in the Rose Garden (P4 Level)… can you say amazing! Alex was dressed to impress and with the white coat, he really stood out!
There was a photo booth for the kids and parents to capture exciting moments. We started with the candle lighting after dinner, then moved to the slide show, which was shown on all of the TV’s in the area, so everyone would not miss any of the pictures.
Next, we went right into ‘The Hora’ and got the entire family in the chair… Alex, his mom, then dad. Everyone then danced the night away and I also hosted some contests, including the limbo and a break dance competition. To tell you the truth, the girls beat the guys -lol. What are the odds, the girls wearing a dress would out-low the guys in the limbo 🙂
The night could not go any smoother and I got a big hug after from Alex saying he enjoyed the party. Mazel Tov Alex and thank you Jordan and Pat for choosing PRO DJs. -Steve
Daniel’s Bar Mitzvah
The night could not have been anymore perfect for Daniel’s Bar Mitzvah held June 25th in the Memorial Union Building at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.
Daniel was a little reserved before the party while helping his mother decorate, but it didn’t take long for him to loosen up as guests arrived for his big day. Everyone looked happy, hungry and ready to have a good time, so when the dancing started, it was like watching a train leave the station. Kids, parents, grandparents… everybody was on it and ready to party.
As usual, the girls were dancing right away and eventually they managed to get the guys to join them. ‘The Hora’ was huge as the family had three large circles going and Daniel had a smile that was priceless. The night ended with me and Daniel hugging and him telling me he had a great time. After the party, he helped his mom clean-up and you could tell everybody had a good time… they had a lot to clean-up 🙂
Mazel Tov Daniel and thank you mom Nadine for choosing PRO DJs. -Steve
“Dear Steve, Thanks so much for a great party! Because of your talent, all the kids & adults alike were out of their seats dancing, and that’s no small feat! When our friends and family were leaving the party, the common refrain was “this is the most fun we’ve had in a long time!” Steve, we have you to thank for that! All the best,” -Nadine & Neil Davison
Thank you Becerra Photography for sharing photos from this event.

Hannah’s Bat Mitzvah
The day could not have been any better. The sun was out and the kids were playing soccer and riding golf carts before the party.
When the party started, the kids had pictures drawn on them and also had their photos taken in the Limelight Photo Booth. I hosted games and gave away prizes and when the kids were ready to dance, they went right at it.
The parents eventually joined in and when ‘The Hora’ played, the floor was packed! We danced, watched the sun go down, turned down the lights and danced some more. I will never forget the fun I had at Hannah’s Bat Mitzvah!
Mazel Tov and thank you mom Dana for choosing PRO DJs. -Steve
