Ponzi Vineyards Wedding Sherwood Oregon
It was a gorgeous day and a comfortable 75 degrees for Samantha and Andrew’s Ponzi Vineyards Wedding in Sherwood, Oregon on Saturday, July 9, 2022. The ceremony was held outside on the lawn overlooking the vineyard. I provided microphones and a live harpist played the music.
The harpist continued playing live music during the cocktail hour. I then took over for dinner and announced the newlyweds as they entered the Laurelwood Room dining area. Background music was a variety of selections from artists chosen by the bride and groom, including Tom Misch, Amy Winehouse, and Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga duets.
Ponzi Vineyards Wedding Reception Highlights:
- Grand Entrance: Rihanna Feat. Calvin Harris – We Found Love
- Cake Cutting: Calvin Harris Feat. Florence Welsh – Sweet Nothing
- First Dance: Natalie Cole – This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)
- Groom and Mother Dance: Celine Dion Duet With Andrea Bocelli – The Prayer
- Last Dance: Spice Girls – 2 Become 1
The first dance and groom/mother dance were held on the patio outside the dining area with most guests watching from the outside.
Following the groom/mother dance, I invited all guests to the Founders Terrace for dancing. Since this area was around the corner and out of view during the ceremony and reception, it took a few songs to get everyone there. It was a great crowd with amazing energy. They danced to everything from Whitney Houston to Dua Lipa, along with requests for “Cha Cha Slide” and “Cupid Shuffle”.
Congratulations Samantha and Andrew and thank you for choosing PRO DJs.
Sherwood Oregon Ponzi Vineyards Wedding
The first weekend of fall continued a run of mostly dry weather over the summer to provide Maggie and Parker a beautiful day for their Ponzi Vineyards wedding on Saturday, September 25, 2021. The ceremony was held outside on the lawn overlooking the vineyard.
Ponzi Vineyards Wedding Ceremony Highlights:
- Bride Entrance: Honey Bee (Instrumental) by the Guitar Tribute Players
- Bride/Groom Exit: The Piano Guys – Sky Full of Stars
I had played this venue just a few weeks earlier, but this time a second sound system was required as the dance floor was moved to the Founders Terrace outside of the Laurelwood dining room. Guests were spread out in multiple areas, including The Pearl and Founders rooms as well as the west facing deck, but I was able to provide background music in most spaces.
Ponzi Vineyards Wedding Reception Highlights:
- First Dance: Chill The Duo – Honeybee (Head and the Heart Cover)
- Bride and Father Dance: Louis Armstrong – What A Wonderful World
- Groom and Mother Dance: James Taylor – How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)
The first dance, father/daughter dance and mother/son dance were all held on the patio outside the dining area with most guests watching from the outside.
Following the mother/son dance, I quickly moved outside to my main sound system and started the music to open the dance floor to everyone. Since this area was around the corner from most guests, it took a few songs to get everyone there. It was a great crowd with amazing energy.
Congratulations Maggie and Parker and thank you for choosing PRO DJs.
Ponzi Vineyards Wedding Sherwood Oregon
It was a perfect late summer day for April and James’ Ponzi Vineyards wedding on Monday, September 6, 2021. Under sunny skies and a comfortable high of 81 degrees, the ceremony was held outside on the lawn overlooking the vineyard.
Ponzi Vineyards Wedding Ceremony Highlights:
- Bride Entrance: Elvis Presley – Can’t Help Falling in Love
- Bride/Groom Exit: Barry Louis Polisar- All I Want Is You
Following the ceremony, guests gathered inside or on the patio outside for wine and conversation. Background music during the cocktail hour was all Michael Jackson hits, primarily from his early solo catalog (1980-88), as requested by the bride and groom. During this time an artist (Aimee Joy Art) painted the scene from the ceremony earlier. For dinner in the adjoining The Laurelwood room, I played a variety of soft rock hits from artists such as Jack Johnson, Otis Redding, Nora Jones and more.
Ponzi Vineyards Wedding Reception Highlights:
- Grand Entrance: DMX – Get It On The Floor
- First Dance: Queen – You’re My Best Friend
- Bride and Father Dance: Tom Petty – Wildflowers
- Groom and Mother Dance: Don Ho And The Aliis – Tiny Bubbles
- Last Dance: Rick Astley – Never Gonna Give You Up
It may have been a Monday night with only 20 guests in attendance but judging by the dance floor, it certainly didn’t feel like it. Guests were in the mood for dancing, especially after the sun set. The newlyweds love 90’s Hip Hop and a set that featured hits from MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Will Smith, Tag Team and more were well-received.
April and James booked with me in February 2020 for their wedding, originally scheduled for September of last year. Congratulations and thank you for choosing PRO DJs.
