Surfsand Resort Wedding Cannon Beach Oregon
Oregon Coast Wedding DJ Rich Ellis had the opportunity to perform at Haley and Trevin’s Surfsand Resort wedding and reception on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in Cannon Beach, Oregon.
The weather was beautiful with lots of sunshine and the couple had decided to have the ceremony on the beach. However, the threat of sneaker waves prevented that from happening and vows were exchanged in the main ballroom in front of the fireplace.
Surfsand Resort Wedding Ceremony Highlights:

The reception followed right away and background music was a variety of rock, easy listening and pop selections as requested by the bride and groom. Photos were taken outside on the back deck before one large group photo on the dance floor. The dinner buffet opened around 6pm.

The dance floor opened to the 75 guests around 7:40pm and several joined in right away before the energy gradually picked up as I played a variety of classic and recent hits, including selections from The Beatles, Bee Gees, Usher, Rihanna and more.

McMenamins Sand Trap Wedding Gearhart Oregon
Rachel and Pete’s McMenamins Sand Trap wedding was held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Gearhart on the Oregon Coast.
The couple decided to have a private ceremony on the beach so I was just there for the reception in the downstairs ballroom located just off the golf course.
Background music was a variety of familiar selections including Country favorites as requested by the bride and groom.

The dance floor opened to everyone around 7:45pm and guests didn’t waste any time getting down to classic hits like “Stayin’ Alive” and “Shout” plus the newlyweds favorites from Michael Jackson, AC/DC and more.
The lights were on the entire evening, but that was no deterrent for this group.

Lucy’s Garden Ridgefield Washington Wedding
It was a perfect early autumn day for Hailey and Wyatt’s Lucy’s Garden Ridgefield Washington wedding on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
I provided sound in three separate areas, the barn, tent area and ceremony site, the latter included a lapel microphone for the officiant and handheld cordless microphone for the vows.

Following the ceremony, guests walked the short path to just outside the barn for drinks and appetizers before moving to the tent area for dinner.

Lucy’s Garden Ridgefield Washington Wedding Reception Highlights:

Guests had a great time dancing in the barn to a wide variety of music, including “Twist & Shout”, “Can’t Stop the Feeling”, “Cupid Shuffle” and more..

Stevenson Washington Maple Leaf Events Wedding
Abbey and Gabriel’s Maple Leaf Events wedding took place in Stevenson, Washington on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Feeling like a summer day, it was sunny and a warm 80 degrees for the ceremony outside.

The dinner buffet was inside the reception hall with large windows, but guests could also gather on the patio and I kept a speaker used for the ceremony outside.
I was setup just inside the hall with another speaker so music and the toast could be heard nearly everywhere.
The newlyweds requested mostly classic hits from The Beatles, Otis Redding, John Denver and more for the background music during the cocktail hour and dinner.
Maple Leaf Events Wedding Reception Highlights:

The dance floor opened around 3:30pm and filled quickly for the first two songs. Most guests remained spread out on the property both inside and out.

Abernethy Center Abigail’s Garden Wedding
Sabrina and Taylor’s Abernethy Center Abigail’s Garden wedding took place in Oregon City on Sunday, September 25, 2022 on a beautiful Northwest early fall day for the ceremony held outside at the Gazebo.

Following the ceremony, guests moved up the hill directly behind the ceremony to the tented reception area. During the cocktail hour and dinner, I played a mix of background music from a variety of artists that included Adele, Stevie Wonder and Jason Mraz.

It was a pleasant evening to walk the grounds for the almost 70 guests in attendance, plus a photo booth out of sight of the tent area. The dance floor had its moments too as I played favorites “Stayin’ Alive”, “Low”, “Cupid Shuffle” and more.
