Hayley and Jeff’s wedding and reception was held on a tranquil summer day at the home of the bride’s father in Newberg, Oregon on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Just before the start of the ceremony scheduled for 4pm, I was approached by two men (one dressed in a blue tux and the other, an orange tux) who noted they would be passing out beers to the seated guests and asked if I could play AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”. Most everyone responded positively to the energy of the moment and with that the wedding began.

Following the wedding ceremony, everyone was welcome to go anywhere on the property before eventually making their way to the tent at the top of the hill for dinner and dancing.
For background music, I played a variety of “fun easy listening, a touch of Frank Sinatra vibes and some Country favorites,” as requested by the bride and groom.

When planning their reception, the newlyweds noted “We want a fun dance party. There will about 20 kids under the age of 10 so anything to get them on the dance floor is great. We love all decades of music from the 1950s, ’60s, Motown, ’70s, ’80s ’90s, 2000s, 2010s and now.”
Guests wasted no time coming out for the opening slow dance and then for the next three hours, it was non-stop up tempo favorites that included tracks from The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift, the Cupid Shuffle and more.
