I had the opportunity to provide music and sound for their ceremony held outside and then performed at the reception held inside the big tent. The photos here capture most of a fun evening as the newlyweds and their guests were rockin’ the dance floor.

Congratulations to Marissa and Andrew who were married at the Double Tree Hotel Lloyd Center on October 2nd.
 
PRO DJs provided music for the ceremony held downstairs in the Hawthorne Room and the reception upstairs in the Cascade Ballroom.
 
The bride chose to enter the ceremony to The O’Neill Brothers version of ‘Canon In D’. After being introduced by officiant Sandy Shipley, the just married Marissa and Andrew exited the ceremony to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World’.
 
The guests then made their way upstairs to the reception and awaited the arrival of the newlyweds to a variety of music, that included selections from Coldplay, Al Green, Jack Johnson and others. Upon their arrival, I introduced Marissa and Andrew to ‘I’m Yours’ from Jason Mraz.
 
Following the toast, they chose Ray LaMontagne ‘You Are the Best Thing’ as the background music while they cut the cake, then danced their first dance to another selection from Jason Mraz, a duet with Colbie Callait, titled ‘Lucky’.
 
With a wide variety of dance music and plenty of current hits to satisfy the hip hop tastes of Marissa and Andrew, the dance floor was active until the end. We capped the night with everyone singing along to Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’.
 
It was a pleasure performing for Marissa and Andrew. Best wishes and thank you for the opportunity.
 

 
According to weather forecasters, the summer of 2010 was the wettest on record in the Portland area. Fortunately, most of that rain fell during the week as most weddings we had the opportunity to perform at featured sunshine, or if cloudy, it was at least very comfortable… no 100+ days like last year. Excluding the 18th, where it poured all day, September was an especially nice month for weddings.
