Summer Kickoff At Oregon Zoo Brew
PRO DJs once again had the priviledge of spinning the hits at the Oregon Zoo “Zoo Brew” with three DJs on Friday, June 7th and Saturday, June 8th, 2024.
DJ Rich Ellis worked the entry plaza while DJ Steve Marker performed in Polar Plaza. A third DJ was added at the last minute to Discovery Plaza when another entertainer fell ill. Thank you Gavin (The Aussie DJ) for helping out.
It was a fun weekend with great weather.
Jewish Wedding Reception Portland Oregon
Originally scheduled with PRO DJs for October 2023, then rescheduled for January 2024 before being rescheduled again, Ilene and Gergo were finally able to celebrate their wedding reception on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Congregation Beth Israel in Portland, Oregon.
Following the ceremony in the main sanctuary, guests walked across the street to Goodman Hall for the reception where they arrived to a variety of background music selections that included artists Adele, Lauryn Hill, Motown hits and more.

After the couple’s First Dance, I invited everyone to join in for the opening slow dance before picking up the pace with “The Hora”. A mix of classic and recent songs followed, plus the newlyweds requests for 90’s hits from Ace of Base, Snap! and more.

May The 4th Be With You At Star Wars Wedding In Portland
Star Wars fans Kenzie and Adam arrived for their wedding reception at Central Christian Church in Portland on May 4, 2024 through a tunnel of light sabers held by friends and family members before proceeding to dance their first dance, that concluded with the newlyweds engaging in a light saber duel.

There were many married couples in attendance, including me and my wife, who was also there since May 4th was our 28th wedding anniversary. We lasted several rounds of the Anniversary Dance, but were no match for the groom’s aunt and uncle, who were married the longest at 43 years.
For the dance floor, the bride and groom requested songs from Ed Sheeran and several from ABBA.

April Wedding Reception In The Dalles Oregon
Brenna and Bryan’s wedding reception was held at Fort Dalles Readiness Center in The Dalles, Oregon on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Following the ceremony at a church in town, guests began arriving at this training facility for the Oregon Army National Guard just after 5pm. Background music was a mix of Pop and Country favorites. I played selections from Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, James Taylor and more.

The dance floor opened to all married couples around 8pm with the Anniversary Dance that revealed the bride’s aunt and uncle as having been married the longest. All guests then joined in the for the first slow dance.
I played a variety of hit songs that included a little something for everyone. The newlyweds requested some Big Band, Classic Rock, 70’s/80’s disco/funk and Country (90’s/2000’s era mostly), plus some punk rock for the groom, who is a big fan of the band Blink 182.

Conference Karaoke Party Hilton Portland Downtown
PRO DJs had the opportunity to DJ the Pacific Northwest Medical Management Conference karaoke party held at the Downtown Hilton in Portland, Oregon on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
After a rousing team trivia that also included Name That Song, there were multiple karaoke performances to closeout the night.
